Pricing<\/h3>\n<p><strong>G Suite<\/strong> has straightforward pricing with two plans: $5\/user\/month and $10\/user\/month.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"includes\">First plan offers the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business email addresses (name@company.com)<\/li>\n<li>Video and voice calls<\/li>\n<li>Integrated online calendars<\/li>\n<li>30GB of online storage for file syncing and sharing<\/li>\n<li>Online text documents, spreadsheets and slides<\/li>\n<li>Easy to create project sites<\/li>\n<li>Security and admin controls<\/li>\n<li>24\/7 phone and email support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Second plan offers unlimited storage with vault:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unlimited Storage (or 1TB per user if fewer than 5 users)<\/li>\n<li>Advanced admin controls for Drive<\/li>\n<li>Audit and reporting insights for Drive content and sharing<\/li>\n<li>Google Vault for eDiscovery covering emails, chats, docs and files<\/li>\n<li>Easily search and export to different formats<\/li>\n<li>Archive all emails sent by your company<\/li>\n<li>Set message retention policies<\/li>\n<li>Place and enforce litigation holds on inboxes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Office 365<\/strong> has complex pricing plans:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office 365 Business Essentials \u2013\u00a0$5.00 user\/mont<\/li>\n<li>Office 365 Business \u2013 $8.25 user\/month<\/li>\n<li>Office 365 Business Premium \u2013 $12.50 user\/month<\/li>\n<li>Office 365 ProPlus \u2013\u00a0$12.00 user\/month<\/li>\n<li>Office 365 Enterprise E1 \u2013\u00a0$8.00\u00a0user\/month<\/li>\n<li>Office365 Enterprise E3 \u2013\u00a0\u00a0$20.00\u00a0user\/month<\/li>\n<li>Office365 Enterprise E5 \u2013\u00a0\u00a0$35.00\u00a0user\/month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Without going to the detailed offerings of each plan, we\u2019ll focus on the\u00a0comparable plans from Office 365 and G Suite:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>G Suite ($5 per user per month) and Office 365 \u2018Business Essentials\u2019\u00a0($5 per user per month)<\/li>\n<li>G Suite Unlimited\u00a0($10 per user per month)\u00a0and Office 365 \u2018Enterprise E3\u2019 ($20 per user per month)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Office 365 Business Essentials will cost $5 uer\/month if you go for annual subscription, where as the monthly subscription will cost $6 user\/month. Essentially you\u2019ll save\u00a0$1 user\/month with G suite. The Office 365 \u2018Enterprise E3\u2019 wil cost $10 higher per month in comparison to G Suite Unlimited and Microsoft will also require annual commitment.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a02. Email<\/h3>\n<p>Gmail is powerful, fast and\u00a0the search functionality is pretty quick, which helps in finding relevant emails.\u00a0The starter plan by Microsoft\u00a0has a dedicated\u00a050GB inbox in addition to\u00a01TB storage; and\u00a0Google\u2019s starter plan gives 30 GB total space that includes both files and emails. Microsoft\u2019s\u00a0unlimited email storage can be availed with\u00a0$20 per user per month \u00a0pricing (Enterprise E3),\u00a0which is 2 times than that of Google.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Applications<\/h3>\n<p id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1475212196911_1155\">Most of the Office 365 plans offer desktop versions on their product along with cloud based apps. You\u2019ll be able to install the full versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.\u00a0on your lapptop\/desktop and work offline.<\/p>\n<p>It is also known that Microsoft applications are more advanced and offer better features in comparison to\u00a0Google apps. For example advanced number crunching and usage of statistical library can be done on\u00a0Excel, there are better animation on Powerpoint and adding \u2018Smart Art\u2019 is a breeze in Word.<\/p>\n<p>Apps in G Suite are quite easy to use in comparison to Microsoft apps and\u00a0here are some of the advanced functionality offered by Google\u00a0as part of the latest update:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Machine intelligence in Google Calendar to quickly\u00a0find a time when invitees are free<\/li>\n<li>Natural Language Processing in Google Sheets to<\/li>\n<li>Machine intelligence in Google Docs to automatically recommend related topics to learn more and insert images<\/li>\n<li>Dynamic layout suggestions in Google Slides<\/li>\n<li>Better file management and granular content ownership with a focus on team in\u00a0Google Drive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1475212196911_1077\"><strong>4. Collaboration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Both Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365 make this sort of online collaboration straightforward using their online apps. Additionally, you can now use Microsoft\u2019s desktop apps to work on documents in real time with other team members.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Video Call<\/h3>\n<p>Both Google Apps and Office 365\u00a0offer\u00a0video conferencing solutions via\u00a0Hangouts and Skype respectively. It has been experienced\u00a0that Hangout provides better experience than Skype \u2013\u00a0call\u00a0drops and crashes\u00a0are\u00a0less.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum number of participants allowed\u00a0in Hangout\u00a0is 50, where as\u00a0Skype 250 as upperlimit.\u00a0The high end conferencing and telephony services come with the top tier pricing plans of Office 365.<\/p>\n<h3>6. Advanced Features<\/h3>\n<p>There are many advanced\u00a0features offered by\u00a0G Suite\u00a0and Office 365.\u00a0Here are some of the common features offered by both of the solutions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intranet building functionality<\/li>\n<li>E-discovery tools<\/li>\n<li>Advanced reporting<\/li>\n<li>Email archiving<\/li>\n<li>Legal holds on inboxes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Top tier plans offered by Microsoft have the following features:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1475212196911_1195\">\n<li>Advanced virus protection<\/li>\n<li>Rights management<\/li>\n<li id=\"yui_3_17_2_1_1475212196911_1194\">Cloud based phone call hosting services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>7. Mobile App<\/h3>\n<p>Both G Suite and Office 365 offer mobile apps (iOS and Android), which helps to\u00a0manage and edit your files on the go. The apps offered by Google and Microsoft have\u00a0good user experience, let you\u00a0quickly access information and share with colleagues.<\/p>\n<h3>8. Support<\/h3>\n<p>Both Google Apps and Office 365\u00a0offer 24\/7 phone support in English and depending on the country, language support can change. While email support is available for both products; Google provides additional support via live chat. You can also access forums to seek clarification,\u00a0give feedback and request additional functionality.<\/p>\n<h3>9.
